ARE FULL

We ALWAYS pull from the waiting list for auditions.

CHANGE TO THE REQUIRED TECH WEEK REHEARSAL POLICY

We've listened to the concerns of our families
and are making the following changes to our policy to better serve our students.

For our Fall Session (The Election and Matilda, Jr.),
if a student misses a tech rehearsal due to a mandatory school/family event,
the student will still be considered for all roles during auditions.
Missed rehearsals may still affect casting;
directors still have the ability to replace a student in their role
if absences are added after the cast list has been released.

If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to laura@thepointtheater.org.

Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination!
This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children
she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.
Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers!
She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey.
Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children
and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules.
But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!
Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda JR. is a joyous girl power romp.
Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.

REVOLTING CHILDREN ENSEMBLE

***FRIDAY REHEARSALS ONLY***

Revolting Children only rehearses on Fridays until the week prior to tech week
(see the rehearsal schedule for more details)
Lots of stage time—they dance and sing throughout the show!
Will involve some feature opportunities for some students.
Great for kids with Saturday conflicts who still want stage time and The Point experience.
Revolting Children do not have other roles in the cast and may not perform complete
dance numbers. They may perform alternate dance steps due to shortened
rehearsal time.

After an embattled student body president resigns in disgrace,
Mark Davenport figures he will cruise to victory in the special election.
After all, his only opponent is nerdy Christy Martin, who wants to eliminate football.
But when a mysterious Super PAC gives her an unlimited budget,
things start to get very ugly.
Mark must face total annihilation or accept the services of a slick professional
campaign manager with questionable ethics and a million-dollar Super PAC of his own.
A hilarious, non-partisan, timely satire on the contemporary political scene.
